A. Schulman (formerly Elian), a producer of masterbatches, struggled with unreliable, paper-based weighings and poor traceability across its plants. To automate weighing data, ensure production traceability and roll out a plant-wide MES strategy, A. Schulman selected IMCO Software’s IMCO - CIMAG Production solution (implemented in partnership with Alpha-3i).

IMCO Software implemented IMCO - CIMAG Production to automate weighings and extend MES coverage to extrusion, manufacturing, quality control and shipping, delivering real-time, harmonized data and visual displays for shop-floor staff. The solution has been deployed to 12 sites in 10 countries with about 470 licenses and 8 languages, saved an estimated 4,000–5,000 sheets of paper per day, improved traceability and process standardization, and prompted group-wide adoption praised for its impact on organization, quality and traceability.
