The American Planning Association (APA) is a nonprofit education and membership organization serving practicing planners, students, elected officials, and interested citizens, and it runs a large number of events through its national body and chapters. To simplify and consolidate its fragmented event systems, APA engaged Imaginary Landscape to upgrade and merge multiple event applications into a single solution built on the open source Django web framework.

Imaginary Landscape delivered a centralized event management application that lets administrators set event-specific pricing and scheduling rules, plus a new search, logging, and member registration tool and a streamlined submission and review workflow. The Imaginary Landscape solution centralized processes, reduced complexity and administrative overhead, and produced measurable improvements in registration speed and event administration efficiency.
