Case Study: Eden Photos achieves effortless auto-tagging and iCloud-wide photo organization with Imagga

Heavenly simple photo organization

EdenPhotos, a Mac app from Eden Tech Labs, needed accurate image recognition to identify hundreds of objects in personal photo libraries and generate rich keyword metadata for searching and licensing. To meet that challenge the team integrated Imagga’s Auto-Tagging and Categorization APIs to automatically detect keywords and visual topics across Photos, Finder, Dropbox and iCloud‑synced assets.

Using Imagga, EdenPhotos implemented background auto-tagging, IPTC and Finder tagging, smart folders and album auto-categorization so photos become searchable across Mac, iPhone and iPad without installing extra apps. Imagga’s APIs delivered many relevant keywords per image, reliable recognition across hundreds of classes and a rapid integration (completed in hours), enabling a Mac App Store release that immediately unlocked cross-device keyword search and streamlined workflows for photographers and enthusiasts.
