How Team Rubicon Boosted Its Fundraising Potential With Imagen

Team Rubicon, a humanitarian organisation with more than 150,000 volunteers, struggled with a fragmented archive—about 50,000 photos and terabytes of video scattered across hard drives and third‑party producers—and spent excessive time manually creating SharePoint/Dropbox folders to distribute assets. They chose Reuters Imagen (Imagen) to provide a media asset management (MAM) system to centralise, tag and secure finished content for fast retrieval and self‑service sharing.

Reuters Imagen implemented a central MAM repository with granular permissions, metadata tagging and automated distribution, allowing reconnaissance teams and volunteers to ingest and access finished photos, B‑roll and features. The platform streamlined workflows, accelerated publishing in the critical 24–72‑hour fundraising window, increased volunteer-driven sharing and collaboration, and generated new commercial and OTT interest—effectively organising 50,000+ photos and terabytes of footage and amplifying Team Rubicon’s fundraising and media reach.
