DPP was facing fragmented media workflows: video files scattered across Box, FTP, local drives and servers, no central repository, poor metadata and version control, security gaps for confidential footage, and high duplication of production work. To address this, DPP evaluated a media asset management solution and engaged Reuters Imagen’s Imagen platform to build a business case and centralised media centre.

Reuters Imagen implemented a cloud-based media repository with metadata cataloguing, deep search, version control, role-based permissions, clipping/download tools and analytics to secure and surface assets for reuse. As a result, Reuters Imagen’s solution enabled major time and cost savings in the example case — recovering up to 1,500 hours annually in asset handling and potentially avoiding £1.9M in external production costs by reusing 250 videos — while improving global access, security and reporting.
