iLobby worked with TDSB’s Lord Dufferin P.S. to replace a slow, paper-based visitor log that made it difficult to manage and identify a mix of families, evening students, staff, and teachers in a vulnerable school environment. The school needed better oversight, faster record finding, and a clearer way to sort visitor types while improving safety and security.

iLobby implemented a tablet-based visitor management kiosk in the main office with registration flows for Support Staff, Occasional Teacher, and Adult ESL visitors, plus badge printing, QR codes for returning visitors, and instant email/SMS/voice notifications to custodians. The solution made visitors visibly identifiable, simplified investigations and reporting with searchable historical logs and automatic end-of-day reports, and reduced reliance on IT infrastructure by using iLobby’s hosted system and 3G connection.
