English Heritage engaged Illustrated London News to produce its membership magazine and extend its reach with a new digital dimension. The brief required Illustrated London News to write, design, publish and fulfil the magazine while introducing refreshed editorial strategy and a digital 360° approach to better communicate the value of membership and the organisation’s work.
Illustrated London News implemented a refreshed design, revamped editorial strategy, digital 360° initiatives and two stand‑alone titles (Events Guide and Just for Kids). The results included winning PPA Membership Magazine of the Year 2014, exceeding new and retained membership targets, average six‑monthly readership rising from 432,000 to 680,000, and an 18% increase in advertising page yields with strong advertiser demand.
