Healthcare Provider engaged Illusive to investigate its environment after concern about hidden credential exposure across the network. The challenge was that attackers who gained a foothold could potentially harvest unseen credentials and move laterally toward critical business assets. Illusive used its Attack Surface Manager to assess credential visibility and uncover possible vulnerabilities.

Using Illusive’s Attack Surface Manager, the healthcare provider discovered a major bug in a recently installed security product that left clear-text domain admin passwords on thousands of machines. Illusive’s findings enabled the customer to alert the software vendor, which then issued a patch to fix the issue. The provider said this critical condition would not have been discovered without Illusive, despite existing PAM and other SOC technologies.
