Searcy School District boosts field lighting 66% with IKIO

Searcy School District in Arkansas faced challenges with outdated metal halide lighting at its outdoor sports facilities. The inadequate system provided poor uniformity and brightness, limiting evening events and failing to meet the community's expectations for safety and performance. To address this, the district partnered with lighting vendor IKIO for a system-wide upgrade using their Dynamo 3 and Chromix RGBW fixtures.

IKIO implemented a precision-engineered LED solution tailored to each field's geometry, which eliminated glare and dark spots while adding RGBW capabilities for special events. The project was completed without disrupting the school's schedule. As a result, Searcy School District achieved 673,920 kWh in annual energy savings, cut costs by nearly $50,000, and significantly improved lighting levels by 66%.
