Adams County Facility Operations cuts energy use by 1,408,930+ kWh with IKIO

Adams County Facility Operations faced the challenge of modernizing the outdated lighting at their high-traffic Justice Center. The goal was to replace legacy fluorescent and CFL fixtures with a new system that would ensure visual comfort, safety, and operational reliability while complementing the building's architecture. Vendor IKIO was selected to provide a design-integrated LED lighting solution.

IKIO implemented a zone-specific LED upgrade featuring adaptive controls and IQ-Sense-equipped luminaires that automate light levels based on occupancy. The solution was executed in phases to avoid disrupting facility operations. This project resulted in annual energy savings of over 1,408,930 kWh and cost savings of $103,556. IKIO's upgrade also significantly improved lighting levels and drastically reduced maintenance needs for the county.
