Radboudumc motivates Parkinson’s patients to move more with IJsfontein’s app in 10 weeks

Radboud University Medical Center (Radboudumc) sought to motivate individuals with Parkinson's disease to increase their daily physical activity. To address this challenge, they partnered with the vendor IJsfontein to utilize a custom mobile app.

IJsfontein developed an app that counts a user's steps and provides reminders to move, making it easier and more motivating for participants to make progress. The pilot study showed that the app successfully motivated people with Parkinson's disease to move more. This positive outcome enabled Radboudumc to plan for a global, remote rollout of the solution developed by IJsfontein.
