Quality management according to ISO 9001: Automotive supplier guides European business processes with iGrafx

DENSO, a global automotive supplier, needed to harmonize and document its quality-management processes across seven European branches to meet ISO 9001/TS 16949 requirements. Their existing tool was costly and limited, with national documents that weren’t standardized, so DENSO chose iGrafx to provide a process-management platform that could import and edit Visio files without conversion and support a shared European process repository.

iGrafx implemented a centralized, browser-accessible repository and folder structure that consolidated legacy systems, allowed easy modeling and publishing, and linked mixed-format documents to processes. The deployment produced 250 workflow diagrams and 715 integrated documents, is accessed by 500+ employees about 7,000 times per month, improved ISO-TS compliance and process monitoring, enabled workflow automation and real-time milestone tracking, reduced deviations, and achieved return on investment by year two.
