Progress-Werk Oberkirch achieves groupwide process transparency with iGrafx

Progress-Werk Oberkirch (PWO), a global automotive supplier with more than 3,400 employees and nine production and assembly locations, struggled with fragmented, non‑standardized process and document management—paper approvals, Word/Excel process files only in German, no central repository or multilingual support—hindering group‑wide control and compliance. PWO selected iGrafx to provide a central, graphical process modeling and document management platform to standardize, control and automate review and approval processes.

iGrafx was implemented as a central repository with graphical modeling, multilingual capabilities, validation/approval workflows and SharePoint integration, rolled out from the Oberkirch HQ to subsidiaries in Canada, the Czech Republic, Mexico and China. As a result, iGrafx delivered group‑wide process transparency and standardization, reduced search times “to a minimum,” increased process awareness, supported successful certifications including IATF, and created a central knowledge base that simplified maintenance, training and continuous optimization.
