Barrick Gold Corporation, a global gold mining company, needed to define, standardize and implement business processes across geographically dispersed operations. Their Business Performance Group found existing documentation and tools inadequate and selected iGrafx’s market-leading business process analysis (BPA) solution and iGrafx Platform to drive global standardization and improve documentation, versioning and collaboration.

iGrafx and its Professional Services team imported 140 pre-existing process documents into a common template, aligned RACI roles, risks and controls, linked policies and procedures, and enabled browser-based version control with automated review and approval. As a result, Barrick achieved a unified, standardized process architecture accessible worldwide, eliminated duplicate efforts, mitigated knowledge-loss risk, improved cross-functional collaboration, and recouped its iGrafx investment within the first year.
