A iGrafx Case Study
Sloan Valve, a century-old manufacturer and world leader in Flushometers, faced the need for cultural and organizational change beyond incremental IT tweaks to better link technology investments to measurable business benefits. To drive an end-to-end, process-focused transformation, Sloan adopted iGrafx solutions to diagram, analyze and communicate processes across the enterprise.
Using iGrafx, Sloan mapped and decomposed core, governance and enabling processes, built real-time diagrams stored in the iGrafx Platform, and engaged cross-functional teams to redesign and implement workflows integrated with SAP. The results were dramatic: special-order processing fell from 3.5 days to 1 hour and required ~1 vs. ~12 people, new part requests are processed in about 15 minutes, engineering change management became paperless, and time-to-market for new product development is expected to drop roughly 75%.
