Cox Business needed to move off legacy desktop process modeling tools to a modern, cloud-based platform to get more frequent feature updates, a simpler web-based interface, better governance and user management, and to reduce IT dependencies as they planned to retire the desktop software. iGrafx executed a straightforward “lift-and-shift” migration—testing in advance, then deploying Cox Business’s database and authentication schema to the iGrafx Enterprise Cloud (deployed within 24 hours) over a single weekend—so users returned to work with only a URL change. The migration delivered a seamless transition, faster feature rollouts, streamlined user/permission management, a bulk conversion utility for legacy files, and rapid adoption; within three months Cox Business had already rolled out many new features and accelerated plans to retire the desktop, with users and stakeholders responding positively to the change.
