Yanfeng Automotive Interiors (YFAI), a global automotive interiors supplier with a sequencing plant in Derramadero that feeds a nearby FCA assembly line, faced poor visibility into demand, inventory and in-transit quantities. That lack of real-time control risked production disruption and costly penalties, and the regional supply chain manager needed a solution to pull the right material multiple times per day and maintain tight target inventory boundaries. Ignite Technologies’ Tradebeam was selected to address this challenge.

Ignite Technologies implemented Tradebeam, a SaaS collaborative inventory-management solution, adding an ordering mechanism with unique order numbers, real-time alerts and automated material-flow controls across Derramadero and supplier plants. The results included inventory on target rising from 15% to 90%, order lead time falling from 32 hours to 5 hours, trailers awaiting unload reduced from 4 to 1, and a 15% improvement in floor-space utilization.
