Chippewa Valley Technical College, a multi-campus institution serving an 11-county region, faced the challenge of reliably waking thousands of computers for nightly maintenance and centrally managing varied power settings across labs, kiosks, digital signage and remote sites. Ignite Technologies was engaged to provide a solution, deploying the Verdiem power-management platform to address these needs.

Ignite Technologies implemented Verdiem on 2,348 machines with SCCM integration and a centralized console for targeted wake and custom power policies, allowing overnight patching and software deployments with no impact on students or faculty. The deployment cut energy use by about 158,000 kWh annually, reduced energy costs by 29%, and lowered greenhouse gas emissions by roughly 87,000 lbs per year, while simplifying management of diverse campus systems.
