The St. James, a multifamily residential property in Dallas, partnered with Igloohome to address its outdated access control system. The property was managing physical keys for common areas and using separate, non-integrated systems for its elevator and garage door access. This created a significant challenge for onboarding and offboarding tenants and managing access for various users, prompting them to seek a modernized solution.

Igloohome implemented its iglooworks smart access technology, deploying the Switch (SW1) door controller and Keypad (EK1) to unify control over common building doors, the elevator, and the parking garage. The solution provided a single platform for managers to grant and revoke access seamlessly and for residents to generate temporary PINs. The system’s offline capability ensured reliable operation in cellular dead zones and eliminated the need for costly managed Wi-Fi.
