Gildan is a global apparel manufacturer with more than 50,000 employees operating in English, French and Spanish across North and Central America and the Caribbean. The company’s aging, three‑page intranet had become a disorganized collection of local links and documents, leaving employees siloed, communications slow and multilingual distribution cumbersome—making it difficult to centralize news, policies and resources for a dispersed workforce.
Gildan implemented Igloo to build GildanConnect, a centralized, media‑rich digital workplace (launched in four months) with AD sync, SSO, built‑in translation, rich media and targeted content access. The platform hosts a brand portal, recognition hub, IT calendar and learning/ethics centers (with embedded Brainshark), enabling collaborative multilingual publishing. Within a month 3,000 employees completed a compliance training (vs six months previously), 94% of respondents said they felt more informed, and contributor engagement, brand adherence and global harmony have all increased.
