The Auto Club Group - Customer Case Study

The Auto Club Group, the second-largest AAA club in North America serving roughly 9.1 million members, was struggling with time-consuming, resource-intensive management of laptops used by remote agents as it rolled out a Citrix VDI environment. To simplify endpoint management, improve security, reduce capital expenditures and speed time-to-value, The Auto Club Group selected IGEL and its software-defined endpoint portfolio, including IGEL OS, the IGEL Universal Desktop Converter (UDC) and the IGEL Universal Management Suite (UMS).

IGEL converted the customer’s existing laptops to IGEL OS with the UDC and centralized management via UMS, enabling rapid deployment of about 300 IGEL-OS laptops within months (with plans to exceed 400) and a UMS console stood up in under 24 hours. The IGEL solution produced measurable benefits — improved manageability, scalability and security, lower costs by leveraging existing hardware, faster time-to-value, increased remote-worker productivity (including a driver injection fix for electronic signature pads), and clear time-and-cost savings for The Auto Club Group.
