A IGEL Case Study
Strayer University, a leading adult-focused and online university, faced fragmented endpoint management, unclear migration to Windows 10, high capital expenditure risk, and limited on-site IT at remote locations. To address security, manageability and cost concerns they partnered with IGEL to find a simpler, more secure endpoint strategy.
IGEL delivered a solution using IGEL OS, the Universal Management Suite (UMS), the Universal Desktop Converter (UDC) and IGEL UD3 thin clients (plus Samsung All‑in‑One endpoints running IGEL OS), enabling repurposing of existing hardware and centralized management. The deployment now spans more than 2,000 endpoints at 75 locations, cut provisioning time from a week to a day, reduced failures (only one failure in over 1,400 thin clients in two years), and extended endpoint life by about seven years—yielding roughly 50% savings over that replacement cycle.
