Case Study: Lockton achieves centralized thin‑client management and significant time and cost savings with IGEL

A IGEL Case Study

Preview of the Lockton Case Study

Lockton - Customer Case Study

Lockton Companies, the world’s largest privately owned independent insurance brokerage, was mid‑deployment of a Citrix VDI (“Cirrus”) when a thin client vendor changed key device features, disrupting a critical rollout and complicating endpoint management. Seeking a secure, manageable thin‑client solution, Lockton evaluated IGEL and its offerings, including IGEL Universal Desktop (UD2‑LX) and the IGEL Universal Management Suite (UMS).

IGEL provided UD2‑LX thin clients, the UMS management console, the IGEL Universal Desktop Converter, and the IGEL UD Pocket (with plans to leverage IGEL Cloud Gateway), enabling centralized management from Lockton’s Kansas City HQ. The IGEL solution cut configuration time from days to a few hours, reduced break/fix work with higher hardware reliability, and has seen 1,200 UD2‑LX units deployed (targeting 1,800), delivering measurable time and cost savings for Lockton.
