A IGEL Case Study

Kingdom Housing Association - Customer Case Study

Kingdom Housing Association, a charitable Registered Social Landlord serving East Central Scotland, needed to refresh its thin client desktops to improve multimedia performance, user experience and reduce management overhead across about 100 users in nine offices. To meet these goals it selected IGEL, deploying IGEL UD6 thin clients and the IGEL Universal Management Suite alongside Citrix XenApp.

IGEL supplied and helped implement more than 160 UD6 devices centrally managed with IGEL UMS and connected to virtual servers over the organisation’s MPLS network. The roll-out took only a few days, delivered smooth full‑HD multimedia at the desktop, eliminated buffering complaints, required virtually no desktop management or helpdesk calls in the first six months, and freed the ICT team to focus on strategic projects—demonstrating clear reductions in management time and support costs thanks to IGEL.
