Foursquare Healthcare - Customer Case Study

Foursquare Healthcare, a Texas network of senior healthcare and rehabilitation centers, was managing 300+ Citrix VDI endpoints across eight locations on disparate hardware (10ZiG thin clients, touch‑screen PCs and laptops) and needed a standardized, secure, easy‑to‑manage endpoint solution. They evaluated and selected IGEL, adopting IGEL OS along with the IGEL Universal Desktop Converter (UDC), IGEL Universal Management Suite (UMS), IGEL UD Pocket and IGEL Universal Desktop (UD2).

IGEL implemented a software‑defined rollout—using the UD Pocket for quick boots and pilots and deploying IGEL OS with UDC and centralized management via UMS—leading to one location fully deployed as of Q1’18 with more licenses pending. The IGEL solution delivered measurable time savings, reduced strain on IT, improved resource allocation and cost savings, and a more consistent, secure end‑user experience (including seamless multi‑monitor support via the UD Pocket).
