Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort, a luxury hotel and golf resort 30 minutes outside Dublin, faced the challenge of simplifying and centralising desktop management, improving the end‑user experience, and rolling out twin‑screen workstations across the business. To address this, the hotel selected IGEL and its end‑user computing solutions, including the IGEL Universal Desktop Converter, IGEL IZ2 Zero Clients and the IGEL Universal Management Suite.

IGEL converted 45 existing PCs with the Universal Desktop Converter and added 25 IGEL IZ2 zero clients, all managed via the IGEL Universal Management Suite, enabling twin‑screen setups throughout the hotel. The deployment extended PC life by four years for just €90 per device, cut the cost of a new desktop to €550 (versus over €1,000 for a fat client), delivered roughly 50% savings on new desktops, simplified central management and security, and improved staff productivity and retention.
