The Atlanta History Center partnered with IfThen to overcome the challenge of fragmented digital discovery. Their vast collections were housed across four separate legacy systems, each with its own search tool and interface, making it difficult for the public to find related materials across archives, library holdings, and museum artifacts.

IfThen implemented a modern federated search solution using a centralized Algolia index. This approach unified the disparate collections into a single, high-performance public search experience designed for both casual visitors and expert researchers. The project was a significant success, resulting in a thirteen-fold increase in unique monthly visitors to the collections and helping to secure an additional $460,000 in fundraising.
