Case Study: Royal IHC achieves increased flexibility, transparency and reduced IT costs with IFS

A IFS Case Study

Preview of the Royal IHC Case Study

Royal IHC increases flexibility, transparency and uniformity within the organization with 'One IHC’

Royal IHC, a Dutch maritime specialist with centuries of shipbuilding experience and more than 3,000 employees worldwide, was operating on 17 different ERP systems that hindered cross-unit cooperation and generated high maintenance costs. In 2013 the company decided to consolidate international processes under a single ERP backbone to improve integration, clarity and cost efficiency.

Through the “One IHC” program Royal IHC implemented IFS as a global, modular ERP platform and completed the roll-out in about two and a half years, including integration with CAD/PDM. The unified system increased flexibility, transparency and uniformity across business units, improved project and lifecycle management, and delivered notable reductions in IT maintenance and overall costs.
