Case Study: Vigor achieves rapid integration of acquisitions and streamlined operations with IFS

A IFS Case Study

Preview of the Vigor Case Study

Quick integration of new acquisitions using IFS drives Vigor success

Vigor is the Pacific Northwest leader in shipbuilding, complex fabrication and ship repair, with more than 2,500 employees across 13 facilities and eight internal companies grown largely through acquisitions. Its core challenge has been rapidly integrating each new acquisition onto a single operational platform so the subsidiaries can efficiently work for one another without the cost, errors and visibility gaps of multiple legacy systems.

Vigor standardized on IFS (company-wide since 2012) to manage projects, materials, purchasing, maintenance, finance and intercompany work, enabling quick deployment of teams and consistent processes across divisions. The rollout eliminated paper-based invoice approvals (tens of thousands of invoices moved to electronic processing), streamlined intercompany processes, reduced errors and staffing needs, and delivered the visibility and speed Vigor needs when bringing new acquisitions online.
