A IFS Case Study
Coty, a global beauty-products manufacturer for brands such as Sally Hansen, Vera Wang and Gucci, faced a widening skills gap from turnover and a retiring workforce and needed to modernize a time-consuming, classroom-based onboarding program that kept trainers from developing technical training and slowed production ramp-up. The company’s goal was to digitally connect factory workers to training and resources so new operators could be productive faster and more consistently.
Coty implemented Poka’s connected‑worker app to deliver video-based modules, quizzes and searchable work instructions, digitize skills tracking, and automate assignments. The result: onboarding time dropped 57% (from 84 to 36 hours), RFT assessment scores rose from 60% to 90% (a 50% improvement), over 100 skills were built into the system, paper tracking was eliminated, and trainers were freed to focus on higher‑value technical content.
