KLN Family Brands works with IFS to improve forecasting and drive growth

KLN Family Brands, a third-generation, family-owned Minnesota manufacturer of human and pet food products, faced rapid growth and surging demand during the COVID-19 pandemic that exposed limits in its legacy ERP. With ambitious goals to scale to a billion-dollar business, KLN needed better forecasting, MRP and supply-chain visibility to manage production, staffing and regulatory requirements.

KLN implemented IFS across all three facilities to consolidate data, strengthen forecasting and track labor against shop orders, with BI tools and a Novacura-powered customer portal for real-time reporting. The rollout took just over a year and delivered measurable gains: finished goods inventory fell 25%, materials inventory dropped by $2 million within six months, scheduling and compliance improved, and KLN now has a scalable platform to support future growth.
