A IFS Case Study
Roxtec, a Swedish maker of cable and pipe sealing solutions with 26 subsidiaries and around 480 IFS users, needed to support fast international growth and comply with diverse local regulations while reducing the burden of managing in‑house servers. The company decided to upgrade from IFS Applications 8 to Applications 10 and move from on‑premise hosting to IFS Managed Cloud to gain better localization, availability and scalability across multiple countries.
By adopting IFS Applications 10 on IFS Managed Cloud and using IFS Global Extension and layered architecture, Roxtec cut customizations from around 80–90 to five, simplified updates, and gained SLA-backed security, redundancy and replicated backups. The move delivered immediate ROI, predictable operating costs instead of capital expenditure, full global visibility, easier localization for new subsidiaries and lower total cost of ownership, while IFS handles support and maintenance.
