IFS upgrade implementation ensures future proof seamless connectivity for Singer Sri Lanka

Singer Sri Lanka, a 145‑year‑old diversified retailer with 430 showrooms and some 5.7 million customers, embarked on a full upgrade of its IFS ERP in 2020 to future‑proof operations and maintain support, security and seamless connectivity across a complex multi‑channel business. As a 15‑year IFS customer, the company needed an advanced, minimally customized solution to support commercial credit, sales, finance, warehousing and third‑party integrations while delivering business continuity during and after the pandemic.

The move to IFS Applications 10 — completed and live in August 2022 for 2,170 users across 13 divisions — added manufacturing capabilities, retained a bespoke hire‑purchase module, and kept core code largely standard. Early benefits include improved connectivity with partners and agencies, 50+ dashboards, reduced showroom wait times, stronger governance (eliminated audit findings, dual controls, IFRS automation) and enhanced security, with further gains expected as Singer leverages its data for AI and analytics.
