A IFS Case Study
Dunea, the drinking-water company serving 1.3 million customers in South Holland and managing the coastal dune area, found its new ERP could not handle the differentiated maintenance regimes required for pumps, valves and other field assets. The organisation needed to consolidate three different work processes into one standard, win user acceptance for mobile working (including offline in the dunes) and integrate maintenance data with its GIS and document platforms.
Dunea reintroduced Ultimo EAM, integrating it with Esri GIS and SharePoint, automated nightly document syncs and KPI reporting, and rolled out Ultimo GO/GO+ for online and offline mobile work. With over 80% of user stories met out of the box and the rest configured without custom code, the project delivered a single standard process, faster information retrieval, reduced paperwork, significant time savings and improved hands-on tool time — making maintenance more flexible and efficient.
