IFS helps Silvermill Group face climate change challenges

Silvermill Group is a Sri Lanka–based producer and exporter of coconut products that has diversified into renewable (biomass) energy. Rapid growth and climate-change–related raw material shortages forced the company to source 700,000 coconuts a day from across the country and stretch a workforce of about 2,500, creating operational and resourcing challenges and a need for greater agility.

To meet this, all seven Silvermill companies implemented the full suite of IFS enterprise applications, giving them a flexible ERP to capture data at source, streamline operations and generate timely management reports. The result was improved operational efficiency, better access to actionable data, preserved staff-retention policies and strong financial performance — Silvermill grew over 80% in two to three years while cutting operating costs to a minimum.
