A IFS Case Study
Armatury Group, a Czech manufacturer of industrial valves, pumps, and metal products, faced significant instability and data inaccuracies with its legacy Navision system as the company grew. Key challenges included flawed stock records, unreliable cost evaluation for orders, and inefficient production planning, which prompted the company to seek a new enterprise solution. The vendor, IFS, was selected for its high-quality functionality and supportive staff, and the company implemented a suite of IFS applications including IFS Manufacturing.
IFS implemented its enterprise applications on schedule, initiating the project in February 2005 and achieving full operation by January 2006. The solution integrated engineering and manufacturing, notably by linking IFS with SolidWorks design software, which simplified production preparation. The measurable results included a dramatic increase in sales from CZK 830 million in 2005 to CZK 1.5 billion in 2007, alongside significant improvements in real-time cost monitoring and production planning accuracy.
