A IFS Case Study
Hela Clothing is a British-owned apparel manufacturer based in Sri Lanka that produces more than 100 million garments a year across 16 manufacturing, printing and embroidery plants and more than 11,000 employees, with recent expansion into Africa and plans for Mexico. Rapid growth exposed gaps in consistent business controls and, critically, communication across global design centers, plants and customers; Hela also needed faster, more reliable handling of frequent customer feedback to maintain its service-led differentiation.
Hela implemented a tailored IFS Applications™ suite — including Finance, Merchandising, Procurement, Document Management and Business Analytics — on one integrated platform, allowing centralized support services and better data sharing across locations. The solution streamlined decision-making, sped customer response times, reduced manual processes and helped identify cost savings and revenue opportunities (supporting an internal $1M annual saving target), resulting in improved operational efficiency, harmonized processes and greater organizational agility.
