Chief Industries, founded in 1954, is a diversified manufacturer with about 1,250 employees across the US, UK and France, producing agricultural storage and handling equipment, metal buildings, modular homes, renewable fuels and logistics services. Faced with multiple divisions, acquisitions and rapidly changing customer demands, the company struggled with fragmented data, slow information flow and long lead times that required a flexible, easily modifiable ERP solution.

Chief has used IFS for a decade and joined the IFS 10 Early Adopter Program to shape the product and accelerate deployment. By centralizing data and moving to near real‑time processes, the rapid Aug–Nov go‑live—backed by roughly 75 training sessions and about 35 approved enhancement requests—cut standard lead times by an average of one to one-and-a-half weeks, improved user understanding and flexibility, and strengthened customer service.
