A IFS Case Study
HAL Allergy Group is a leading European specialist in allergen immunotherapy with over 60 years’ experience and two production facilities in Leiden, the Netherlands. The company struggled with fragmented maintenance processes — multiple systems, Excel/Access records and phone-based job requests — which made it hard to get a holistic view of asset costs, spare parts, MTBF and essential compliance documentation, risking costly production stoppages and regulatory exposure.
HAL deployed IFS Ultimo (including the Self-Service module) to centralise assets, maintenance requests, parts and supplier data. All work is now logged in Ultimo, calibration and validation records are auditable, and customisable features automate labels and stock tracking. The result is clearer cost and depreciation reporting, improved efficiency and cost control, easier audit readiness and reduced risk of unplanned downtime.
