Evotec is a fast-growing, global drug discovery company that expands partly through acquisitions, creating a need for a rock‑solid, flexible ERP to onboard new businesses and support client-focused processes. After running an older IFS system for five years (used by about 70 power users and 600 regular users), Evotec sought the newer IFS release for enhanced reporting, better third‑party integrations and reduced customisation to future‑proof operations.

A 44‑person cross‑functional team worked with IFS consultants to map business streams, build and test the upgrade, and remove obsolete modifications. The project finished ahead of the revised schedule and under budget, delivered seamless integrations and richer reporting, and achieved strong user adoption — a rollout the CFO described as “a non‑event” — leaving Evotec better equipped to integrate future acquisitions and boost productivity.
