Covington Electric Cooperative (CEC), a Touchstone Energy cooperative near Andalusia, Alabama, serves members across six counties via 2,700 miles of power lines. Facing fragmented, legacy field systems that slowed dispatch and service order turnaround, CEC needed a modern, interoperable platform to provide real-time visibility and speed up its service order cycle.

CEC deployed an industry-first integration of IFS’s Multispeak-certified Mobile Workforce Management with ATS OpenOne CIS, combined with IFS AVL, Esri-based GIS and Partner Software’s GIS viewer, all configured quickly via IFS Genesis. The wireless, map-driven solution enabled instant dispatch and location tracking, faster order creation-to-completion cycles, improved data integrity and field productivity, simpler configuration and a smooth CIS go-live—resulting in measurable gains in efficiency and member responsiveness.
