A IFS Case Study
China CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd. (CAMCE) is a global engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firm that set out to diversify and expand internationally but was hampered by fragmented systems. Project, procurement and finance functions didn’t communicate, forcing manual data entry, preventing real-time visibility and causing frequent cost blowouts and delays—33% of projects were late (sometimes by six months) and 44% ran over budget.
CAMCE selected and implemented the IFS integrated project platform in seven months to unify project management, contracts, scheduling, procurement and finance. The result was complete portfolio visibility, more accurate bids and forecasting, faster decision making and standardized reporting: delays fell from 33% to 17% (a 16% improvement), no projects went over budget (seven projects delivered under budget), staff and customer satisfaction improved, and CAMCE’s market value rose 71% in two years.
