Amefa centralizes its information flows with IFS

Amefa, a Netherlands-based wholesaler of cutlery and kitchen knives founded in 1931, shifted from manufacturing to importing and grew across Europe through acquisitions. Facing fragmented local systems across multiple countries and currencies, the company needed a multi-site, multi-language ERP to centralize planning and procurement and ensure timely deliveries for supermarket campaigns.

Beginning in 2008 Amefa deployed IFS and by 2012 standardized the group on a hosted IFS platform used for purchasing, sales, finance, quality control, forecasting and logistics. The rollout created integrated information flows and group-wide sales visibility, improved procurement and planning efficiency with its China suppliers, enabled reliable on-time deliveries, and proved stable and manageable—allowing most future rollouts to be handled in-house.
