Akbar Brothers is a family-owned business and Sri Lanka’s largest tea exporter, with over 2,500 employees and decades of global market leadership. The company was hampered by five or six separate IT systems that duplicated data and slowed new product introductions, decision-making and regulatory compliance across its packing, blending and distribution operations.

In 2010 Akbar implemented IFS as a single enterprise backbone—running financials, distribution, manufacturing and custom tea modules—providing real-time data, business intelligence and streamlined HACCP/regulatory traceability.
