A IFS Case Study
Agristo, a Belgian manufacturer of frozen potato products with multiple sites and growing production capacity after opening a new plant in Wielsbeke, faced rising maintenance complexity that outpaced its informal, inconsistent processes. Without consistent practices or reliable digital records, sites resolved the same issues differently, technical knowledge wasn’t retained, and lack of operational data hindered preventive maintenance and efficiency improvements.
To regain control Agristo implemented the IFS Ultimo EAM system, chosen by maintenance and production teams for its fit and configurability. Every request and action is now logged, giving cross-site visibility and standardized processes; in 2020 Ultimo tracked 53,695 jobs (46,330 completed), equating to more than 127 tasks per day. Benefits include an estimated 5% increase in uptime, better knowledge retention and compliance documentation, consistent parts and stock management, and a single platform for benchmarking and continuous improvement.
