The Schools of King Edward VI Birmingham widens access to 20% of places with IE

The Schools of King Edward VI, a foundation of 10 schools in Birmingham, faced a challenge to widen accessibility and attract more students from disadvantaged backgrounds. They engaged vendor IE to create a regional campaign promoting their pledge that academic talent should be the only barrier to entry.

IE created the 'Opening Doors' campaign, which featured a CGI magical door and photography of real Birmingham pupils. This solution successfully promoted the foundation's message. As a result, the schools continued to attract a more diverse student body and moved towards their goal of increasing spaces for disadvantaged pupils from 20% to 25%.
