Bethphage is a charitable specialist support provider for adults (18+) with learning disabilities, supporting more than 150 adults across Shropshire and the West Midlands and employing 350+ staff who deliver about 7,500 support hours each week. To replace a competitor FP&A tool and secure a functionally rich, cost-effective cloud solution for budgeting, forecasting and reporting, Bethphage switched to IDU in 2021 and implemented IDU’s Financial Budgeting and Reporting Modules.

Using IDU Cloud, Bethphage adopted multidimensional planning (day hours, night hours, sleep‑ins), personnel and CapEx planning, member remuneration allocation and activity‑based profitability analysis by contract. IDU lets the charity pair contracts to staff, identify staffing shortfalls, allocate agency costs and apportion revenue and support costs for accurate contract-level reporting; the finance team can quickly compare budget to actuals, reforecast and produce better-formatted reports. The implementation met a tight deadline, improved reporting and analysis versus the previous system, and has made budgeting and performance management more intuitive — all delivered by IDU.
