Streamlined budgeting and sharpened management reporting with idu-Concept

Momentum, a large South African insurance group, was struggling with a non-web, in‑house budgeting system that couldn’t be rolled out nationally, making budgeting, forecasting and reporting slow, opaque and hard to manage. To modernize the process within tight time and budget constraints, Momentum selected IDU’s web-based product idu-Concept to provide a user-friendly, transparent budgeting and reporting platform.

IDU implemented a customized idu-Concept module to support employee-level remuneration budgeting, integrated it into the core application, and rolled the web-based solution out to 27 users across 43 branches in time for the annual budget; within 12 months usage expanded to 180 budget users and 190 MIS users. The IDU deployment increased departmental involvement, tightened control and transparency, boosted ownership of budgets, and accelerated budgeting cycles—from a protracted, manual process to a faster, more scalable web-based workflow.
