IDU takes reporting at Growthpoint Properties to the next level

Growthpoint Properties, a leading retail, commercial and industrial property manager with a diversified portfolio (445 properties in South Africa, 57 in Australia and offshore holdings valuing R126.2 billion), needed faster, more professional and standardised reporting. Their existing property management system used an older database architecture that made information slow to access and produced inconsistent reports. Growthpoint engaged IDU to provide a reporting and budgeting solution using the idu-Concept financial reporting module.

IDU implemented idu-Concept in March 2005 as part of a five-month reporting overhaul and the system has grown to 220 users. IDU adapted the solution for property-specific data and later extended budgeting to tenant and building levels with Revenue Modules, Portfolio and Fund Packs and sectoral analysis. The result was a single access point and standardised, drill-down reports that eliminated manual Excel cut‑and‑paste work, simplified month‑end processes and delivered deeper, actionable insight to property and portfolio managers.
