CRAN gains finance independence and cost savings with IDU

The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) faced a challenge with its IT-dependent financial management system. Every change to budgets or reports required technical support from an external IT team, which was costly, caused delays, and left the finance department without autonomy. This cumbersome process slowed down budgeting and reporting cycles, hindering transparency.

CRAN implemented IDU's Budgeting, Reporting, and Analytics modules. The IDU solution removed the need for IT skills, returning control of financial processes to the finance team. This shift to IDU delivered significant cost savings and greatly improved efficiency, particularly through the Recodes and Accruals module which brought accuracy to journal entries. The finance team gained full independence, with IDU's responsive support available when needed.
